About the project
Cashback calculator built as the technical challenge for a software development internship.
The project has two parts: a Python API built with FastAPI and hosted on Render, and a static front end in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript hosted on Vercel.
Query history is stored in PostgreSQL (Neon) through SQLAlchemy and filtered by the user's IP address.
The API runs on a free tier and sleeps when idle. The first request may take up to a minute.
